Norrbotten's cultural schools

From 2022, the work on regional cultural school coordination will be permanent in collaboration between the Norrbotten Region and all 14 cultural schools in Norrbotten. The activity aims to provide increased opportunities for equal cultural practice for more children and young people in the county through voluntary education and collaboration with schools.

The fact that the cultural school offers activities in all municipalities in Norrbotten is crucial for children and young people's encounters with culture. Just over half of the cultural schools in Norrbotten offer free education. In order to facilitate and develop collaboration between Norrbotten's cultural schools, a regional cultural coordinator function has been established. Projects can also contribute to encounters with cultural and artistic expressions in schools through Creative School. Thanks to digital technology, more schools than before can be involved.
