Young people and the future in Norrbotten
Our vision is that Norrbotten should be a place where young people want to live, reside and work – both now and in the future. What is needed to get more young people in Norrbotten to want to build their future here? How can we increase young people's participation in social development?
Region Norrbotten arbetar actively to strengthen young people's democracy, participation and influence in areas such as regional development, culture, business and social issues. We see de young people's involvement as an invaluable resource in the work to create a sustainable and attractive future in the county. Through projects such as Youth Up North and close collaboration with municipalities, civil society and business, we create structures that give young people a real voice in decision-making.
An important part of this work is our youth consultant which acts as a bridge between municipal youth consultants and the Norrbotten Region. Our vision is that Norrbotten should be a place where young people want to live, reside and work – both now and in the future.
What does it take to get more young people in Norrbotten to want to build their future here?
During the theme years 2025-2026, we will particularly highlight and promote cultural activities and initiatives aimed at children and young people.
For increased opportunities for equal cultural practice for more children and young people in the county through voluntary education and collaboration with schools.
Here you will find a wide range of different art and cultural experiences.
A meeting place where young people from all over Norrbotten meet decision-makers and work together on issues that affect life here - now and in the future.
