Reading promotion
We want more people in Norrbotten to find the joy of reading, regardless of age, language or disability. The goal is to create encounters between people and literature in libraries and in everyday life.
Through the collaboration between the Regional Library and public libraries, we are developing new ways to encourage a love of reading. This could involve:
- try different methods to inspire reading, both analog and digital
- create activities and projects aimed at children, young people and adults
- work to ensure that literature is accessible to everyone
- support library staff in their work to promote reading
Regional reading promotion plan
The regional reading promotion plan describes how we together strengthen reading, literature and writing in Norrbotten. The plan has been decided by the library managers of the Libraries in Norrbotten and shows the common direction for the county's reading promotion work. It is based on the regional library plan and has a special focus on national minority languages, indigenous languages and people with disabilities.

Support and cooperation
We offer support, advice and inspiration to libraries that want to develop their reading promotion work. This can include, for example, supervision, joint projects, further training or networking meetings. Together with the libraries in the county, we spread knowledge about methods for reading.
