The art consultant works to highlight how art and culture are an important part of a democratic society. The role also involves serving as a resource for municipalities and institutions on issues related to the visual arts.

Two central focus areas in the art consultant's assignment are children and young people and the policy area of ​​Designed Living Environment.

The art consultant promotes initiatives that, among other things, strengthen children and young people's opportunities to encounter art and reflect on its issues, and contribute to the development of public art commissions. The work is carried out throughout the region and is also developed in collaboration with regional, national and international networks.
