Report shows major recruitment challenges in northern Sweden in the coming years

Employers in northern Sweden need to hire 50 jobs within two years, according to an updated version of this summer's acclaimed report from Akademi Norr.

The report Sustainable Skills Supply in Northern Sweden presents the results and analysis of a survey. It covers both companies' and municipalities' workforce needs.
The survey is based on data from 30 municipalities. The report is the result of a digital survey conducted in February and March 2024. The survey and report will now form the basis for a recurring survey of the needs of the workforce in Norrbotten. This will be carried out through the Kompetensarena Norrbotten project.

The report was produced by Akademi Norr. The work was carried out in collaboration with the Association of Local Authorities in Lapland, Skellefteå Municipality and the Swedish Construction Companies.
