“Providing skills is our biggest challenge. This applies to all industries and runs like a common thread through our way of working,” says Birgitta Larsson, head of business in Kalix municipality.
The business unit wants to be close to companies and support them where needed. To find out what is in demand, an extensive survey is being carried out.
Competency mapping
During September, a digital survey will be sent out to entrepreneurs in Kalix. The questions are about the need for skills development for existing staff and future recruitment and training needs. The answers will help the municipality plan the right initiatives and create better support.
– We would appreciate it if the companies took the time to respond. It benefits both them and our joint work going forward. The more people who participate, the better we can understand the needs and offer the right support, says Birgitta Larsson.
