The mapping process

The mapping of skills needs is a living and recurring process. A first joint mapping will be carried out in Norrbotten in the autumn of 2025. It will then be repeated every two years.

Here's how it goes:

  1. Survey
    A digital survey is being opened up to employers throughout the county with questions about recruitment and skills needs. The survey will be ongoing during the fall of 2025.
  2. Analysis
    The results are analyzed together with various stakeholders in skills provision to identify, for example, needs within different professions, municipalities, sectors and educational areas.
  3. Feedback
    Results will be presented and feedback will be provided to those who participated in the survey in early 2026. The dialogue can take place directly with those who responded, but will also be presented here on evtävänorrbotten.se and at a results conference.
  4. Efforts
    Based on the facts that the survey shows, those working with skills supply issues and business development can develop targeted initiatives for employers. The results will be influential in future upper secondary school sizing for the county, planning of vocational education programs and work on the county's population supply. It will be used to make Norrbotten visible to decision-makers nationally and at the EU level. The goal is that through a common voice for Norrbotten's skills supply, we will receive measures and decisions that benefit our county.
