Entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurship is about more than business. It is about a way of being and relating to your surroundings. Seeing opportunities for change and being able to develop them into something bigger. It can be a company but it can also be within organizations or private contexts. Entrepreneurship is the key to change.

The Norrbotten Region and other parts of the public sector should support and help where needed, but the majority of the driving force should come from outside. Therefore, it is important to protect and encourage entrepreneurship in Norrbotten.

Business support

Every year, the Norrbotten Region receives a regional grant from the government that will be used for, among other things, business support to promote investments in companies and, above all, companies with fewer than 250 employees, so-called micro, small and medium-sized enterprises. The support will promote investments that lead to, or create the conditions for, sustainable growth. Growth that does not occur at the expense of the resources that are necessary for future development and for the next generation to have a sustainable future.
