Work package 5 – Development of a knowledge platform

About the work

To support the municipalities' work on sustainable housing development, the project manager collects good examples of newly produced housing and development of existing residential areas that are characterized by sustainability, attractiveness and security. The examples include both technical solutions and processes for circular construction and should be able to be translated into the local context in Norrbotten. Special emphasis is placed on showing how these examples can be adapted to the conditions, resources and needs of different municipalities. 

To create a long-term and accessible structure, a digital knowledge platform is being developed here on the Norrbotten Region website for regional development. The platform serves as a hub for inspiration, learning and capacity building, ensuring that the knowledge lives on even after the project ends. 

The platform not only collects good examples, but also relevant data, methods and guidance that can support municipalities in planning, procurement and implementation of sustainable housing projects. By making concrete solutions and experiences available, the activity directly contributes to the project's goal of promoting sustainable housing development in Norrbotten, strengthening the municipalities' ability to act and creating conditions for long-term social change.
