Infrastructure connects people, places and businesses, making everyday life easier. Functioning roads, railways, airports and ports, together with a stable energy supply, are a prerequisite for living, working and visiting the county. Mobile and broadband networks should cover the entire county and be both fast and reliable.

Here we measure infrastructure that makes it possible to live, work and travel throughout the county, such as public transport and cycle paths, and how conditions vary between urban areas and sparser areas.

Here we measure how interconnected transport systems make it possible to travel and transport goods efficiently between locations. and between different modes of transport. By following the development of transport modes, we see where there is a need for reinforcement or coordination.

To get a picture of how people can live and work, we measure access to fast broadband, stable mobile coverage and energy-efficient systems. We also measure how energy use is changing with new technology and how conditions differ between different parts of the county.
