Growth preparation
The Growth Committee is the joint committee of the Norrbotten Region and the Norrbotten Municipalities for regional growth issues. The main purpose is to work towards a political consensus on strategic growth and development issues and infrastructure.
Through the growth committee's political positions, politicians in the Norrbotten Region, the Structural Funds Partnership and the Interreg Aurora steering committee will then make strategic choices for the implementation of the region's growth policy.
The focus is on, among other things:
- Various strategies where the governing body is the Regional Development Strategy
- Infrastructure/communications
- Global monitoring/international dimension
- Advocacy and knowledge-raising work with the best for the region
The Growth Committee has decided to take advantage of our geographical location and has developed an Arctic political platform with the most important priorities for the sustainable development of Norrbotten in the Arctic. You can read here Norrbotten's political platform for the Arctic
The Growth Committee consists of 13 regular members and 13 alternates. The chairmanship is rotating.
