Parallel seminars at the Developing Norrbotten Conference

Long-term, high-quality and attractive housing construction when everything is in a hurry - is it possible?

How dare we set demands on quality and design when we just want someone to start building housing? Do we have time to take into account our national architecture policy and the policy area for Designed Living Environment? And how can the existing housing stock with a low utilization rate be used in a resource-efficient way and contribute to the housing supply in the county?

The session is led by Carolina L. Weinz, project manager at Region Norrbotten, Arctic Design Center. Carolina is basically a civil engineer in architecture and has spent two years doing a doctorate in sustainable construction where she focused on renovation strategies from a life cycle perspective. In the panel we find representatives from some of the municipalities in Norrbotten that are facing these challenges today.
