How regional development is governed
The Norrbotten Region has been tasked by the government with coordinating regional development work for sustainable growth in the county. The Regional Development Committee has overall responsibility for the region's work on regional development, culture, traffic and infrastructure. The committee's members and deputies are appointed by the regional council.
