Norrbotten is a diverse county with different conditions both culturally and geographically. Each part of the county has its own unique character and must develop on its own terms and not at the expense of others. It is important that regional policy efforts create balance and take into account the different conditions of the entire county.

Norrbotten Region's development work
Region Norrbotten is responsible for leading the work on sustainable regional development. The assignment includes developing a development strategy. Norrbotten Strategy 2040 describes the county's common direction forward and supports the development of a sustainable and viable county. It has been developed in a broad co-creation process, together with a number of actors throughout the county.
With state regional development funds, Region Norrbotten supports companies and projects that benefit regional development.

The website Utveckla Norrbotten is part of Region Norrbotten. With this website, we want to make sustainable investments in the county visible, strengthen and enable them.
It is important that everyone in Norrbotten is aware of the region's mission and that we in Norrbotten have state regional development funds for sustainable growth. This increases the prerequisite for regional development responsibility to reach its full potential for Norrbotten.
The website Utveckla Norrbotten was developed in the project Paths to Sustainable Development, which was funded by the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth and Development and Region Norrbotten.
