FILM: Young people and decision-makers in conversation about Norrbotten's development

When Norrbotten's young people met Region Norrbotten's elected decision-makers, important conversations about the future arose. During a workshop, young people from across the county gathered to share their experiences, perspectives and suggestions - directly with those who make the decisions. Now you can see parts of the day in the film below.

The workshop is part of Utvekkla Norrbotten's work to strengthen young people's participation and influence in the region's development. During the day, questions were raised about, among other things, the living environment, opportunities to remain in the county and how young people want to contribute to Norrbotten's future.

The meeting between young people and decision-makers provided space for open conversations and new perspectives – and laid the foundation for continued dialogue.

A report is taking shape

Our partner Youth Up North is currently working on completing the report Youth Perspectives on the Future of Norrbotten. The report is a compilation of what emerged during the workshop. It will soon be published, so that more people can share young people's opinions, thoughts and experiences.

The workshop is an important step in long-term work. By creating more meeting places between young people and decision-makers, we can develop Norrbotten together – with the perspective of young people as a natural part.
