Culture plays a crucial role in a vibrant, attractive and sustainable Norrbotten. Region Norrbotten is now looking for a cultural manager who wants to take overall responsibility for the county's cultural development - in close collaboration with municipalities, civil society and cultural creators.

Norrbotten faces a number of special opportunities and missions. We are proud to host the European Capital of Culture year 2029 in Kiruna. We are home to several national minorities, with a clear responsibility for their culture and language.

There are interesting museums and institutions here that are of international standard. The Norrbotten Region is responsible for the Norrbotten Regional Library, Norrbotten Music, Norrbotten Museum and cultural promotion activities.

Together they create a unique environment in which to work – with both challenges and great opportunities.

As a cultural manager in Norrbotten, you will have the opportunity to:

• Lead the regional cultural mission in a geographically large and culturally rich county

• Work strategically with culture as a driving force for democracy, attractiveness and sustainable development

• Take responsibility for and develop work with the culture of national minorities

• Collaborate with municipalities, cultural life, civil society and national actors throughout Sweden

We are looking for someone who is a confident leader, has a good understanding of the cultural sector and wants to work long-term for the good of Norrbotten.
