“The goal – a more equal football”

With support from Region Norrbotten, the Norrbotten Football Association has started a project focused on norms, structures and values ​​linked to football.

Among those who play football in Norrbotten, there is equality, but when it comes to leadership and the view on football, there is an imbalance, according to the Norrbotten Football Association.

– The cornerstone of our equality project is that we want to change the mindset. There shouldn't be such a big ideal of masculinity around a football manager, football player or referee, says Åsa Brännström, board member of the Norrbotten Football Association.

– Without support we would not have been able to do this. It is absolutely necessary money and it is fantastic that we can take part in it, says Michael Fleuron, district manager of the Norrbotten Football Association.
