New portal with facts and analysis – the situation in northern Sweden
We are now launching analysportalnorr.se – a joint portal that makes it easier to share facts, statistics and analysis for Sweden's four northernmost regions.
Analysportal Norr is a website that Region Jämtland-Härjedalen, Region Norrbotten, Region Västerbotten and Region Västernorrland have jointly developed. Here you can find facts, statistics and analyses. By taking part in what is published, you will get a good insight into the development of northern Sweden with the current situation, challenges and opportunities.
– The purpose of the new website is to make it easier to find basic facts about Norrbotten and northern Sweden. The regions will offer fact-based, comparable knowledge bases. The analysis bases can also be used by municipalities, for example, to dimension education, implement economic promotion activities or see population changes that over time affect the need for public services, tax bases and our support burden, says Ylva Sardén, Region Norrbotten.
Sustainable regional development and growth
Analysportal Norr focuses on regional development and the analyses are divided into areas:
- Labor market and skills supply
- Attractive habitats
- Health and care
- Infrastructure and accessibility
- Business
– We have long collaborated on analyses and the new portal makes our work more efficient. Right now, for example, in the wake of the pandemic, we are planning to look at demographics and immigration for all of northern Sweden. Shared facts and statistics that are laid out in the same way allow us to compare ourselves and collaborate on important initiatives for all of northern Sweden, says Ylva Sardén.
On the website you can filter through facts, statistics and analysis by selecting county and/or theme – multiple choices are possible. You can also use the search function to find specific reports or topics.
