Applications are now open for the Rubus Arcticus cultural scholarship.

Applications are now open for Rubus Arcticus, one of Sweden's largest cultural scholarships. The scholarship is for those who are in the midst of their artistic endeavors and who want to develop further with the help of the scholarship. The scholarship of 100 kronor each will be awarded to four scholarship holders with activities in and/or connections to Norrbotten.

The purpose of Rubus Arcticus is to reward professional cultural creators with Norrbotten connections in dance, visual and formal arts, film, photography, literature, music, theater and other artistic expressions. The scholarship is intended for artistic development and can, for example, cover costs for further education, study trips, internships or constitute compensation for previous, already completed efforts.

The application is open until September 1, 2022. The scholarship is applied for in person and the purpose must be stated in the application. All applications are assessed by a jury consisting of representatives from the county's cultural life. The decision is made by the chairman of the regional board in consultation with the jury. The scholarship will be awarded at one of the regional council meetings in the fall of 2022.
