Jokkmokk Arctic Talks 2022

Minister of Labor Eva Nordmark (S) and DI's editor-in-chief Peter Fellman are two of the exciting names participating in Jokkmokk Arctic Talks 2022. The theme is the gigantic investments underway in the north and how we can concretely build sustainable societies in a time of extraordinary expansion and rapid change.

As part of the digital Jokkmokk market 2022, the event will be held on February 3rd. Jokkmokk Arctic Talks for the fourth year in a row. Just like last year, the event is held digitally and is open to everyone. This year's Jokkmokk Arctic Talks panel consists of people who are in the midst of the ongoing societal transformation.

An important area that will be touched upon is what concrete steps are planned to solve the skills needs that arise as a result of the establishments. The moderator this time is Karin Hübinette, journalist and long-time program host for, among others, Agenda and Aktuellt and former head of domestic affairs at SVT.

– Norrbotten and Västerbotten are probably the hottest regions in Sweden right now. But what should and can be done with the opportunities that all new investments bring? I am curious to know more about that, says Karin Hübinette and continues:

– Is this a chance to become a role model for social development in Sweden? Not just because a lot is happening quickly, but because you manage to seize the opportunity to build a society that is sustainable at all levels – socially, economically and environmentally? And if so, what is required of companies, the public sector, universities and civil society?
