Proposal for a new regional fund program for Upper Norrland 2021-2027

The proposal for a programme for the European Regional Development Fund for Upper Norrland 2021-2027 has now been submitted to the EU Commission. The regional programme will now be approved by the EU Commission, with a provisional decision date of spring/summer 2022.

The current program period ended in 2020 and a new program proposal has been developed in close collaboration with Region Västerbotten for the next period, which extends between 2021-2027.

The program is based on the priorities of Norrbotten and Västerbotten to ensure that future funds can be used in an efficient and strategic manner and contribute to sustainable regional development. The program takes into account the three dimensions of sustainability: social, environmental and economic sustainability.

EU programming period 2021-2027

To learn more about the opportunities to finance projects within the EU program period, we offer dialogue meetings with different themes around the county's challenges. We do this to increase knowledge about different financing opportunities linked to EU funds and programs, as well as to inspire good applications and collaboration. We have previously had dialogue around skills supply and now dialogue remains around the themes: 

  • Entrepreneurship, innovations and digitalization
  • Transport and accessibility, broadband and energy

Open house

Together with the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth, we will also be organizing an Open House. Preliminary dates are June 13th and 14th. More information about this will follow.
