Backman new director of Norrbottensmusiken

Piteå resident Annelii Backman, 42, is the new county music director in Norrbotten. "It feels truly honorable to have been given this assignment for Norrbottensmusiken. It is an activity that is incredibly close to my heart," says Annelii Backman, county music director.

Annelii Backman grew up in Piteå, where she also returned after university studies in economics and marketing in Örebro. She was hired in 2007 as a marketing assistant at Norrbottensmusiken and has since worked in the organization as a marketer, marketing manager and unit manager. This summer, Annelii Backman took on the role of acting county music director and has now been appointed to the position. She took up the position on August 1, 2022.

– It feels great to continue the work together with all the colleagues I have worked with over the years, as well as of course organizers, partners and others involved in and outside the county. I am truly passionate about Norrbotten music – that is why I have stayed for 15 years.

Annelii Backman's vision is that Norrbottensmusiken will continue to be at the forefront of the music field.

– We will work to maintain a strong position in the county and all of Sweden. This with a warm business with a big heart, just like today, she says.

Annelii Backman succeeds Anna Jirstrand Sandlund, who starts as CEO of Sara Kulturhus in Skellefteå.
