The current programming period is coming to an end and the opportunity has been given to carry out feasibility studies to prepare for the upcoming programming period within the Upper Norrland Regional Development Fund.

The feasibility studies prepare, among other things, implementation projects in upcoming regional fund programs with a focus on small and medium-sized enterprises' needs for research, development and innovation in digitalization and the circular economy, sustainable use of natural resources, production and use of hydrogen, and the electrification of society.

Projects have been prioritized that will contribute to a strengthened capacity in research and innovation and close collaboration between academia and industry, promote the emergence of more social entrepreneurs and strengthen innovations in sustainable fiber composite products.

– The feasibility studies will help small and medium-sized companies develop their innovative capacity, attractiveness and collaboration with academia and the rest of society, states Helena Öhlund, chairwoman of the Structural Funds Partnership.

After the partnership's presidium has set the priorities, the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Development, as the managing authority, will make the formal decisions for the project owners.
