The conference Developing Norrbotten is postponed

The planned conference Developing Norrbotten has been postponed. The Corona pandemic still requires that Region Norrbotten put effort, time and focus on helping and supporting business and culture.

The conference Develop Norrbotten is a meeting place where we discuss together how the regional development strategy can become reality - how we will work together and go from vision to workshop. Last spring, the conference, which was to have been held at Hotel Laponia in Arvidsjaur, was cancelled completely due to restrictions and the risk of spreading the infection. The hope was to be able to have a series of digital conferences this spring, but these plans are now being put on hold.

The Corona pandemic is a severe strain on healthcare, but also on companies in several industries in our county, cultural actors and civil society. Right now, Region Norrbotten needs to put resources where they are most needed. The goal is still to hold a conference on the regional development strategy in 2021.

– Meeting is an important part of regional development work and this was not an easy decision to make. We hope that the pandemic will subside soon and that we can then meet for real. We need to talk about how we can work together to rebuild the parts that have been hit hard by the spread of the corona virus, says Anna Lindberg, Regional Development Director.
