Business Award to Pensionatet Malmgatan

Motivation:

They have not only changed themselves but also helped others when the whole world changed. The Norrbotten Business Award is awarded to two energetic enthusiasts who have managed to get companies in the area from widely different industries to collaborate and thereby managed to keep the customer flow and the business community alive.

Through innovative thinking and creative approaches, they have started the local movement #localhero and spread it across the country. But despite mottos such as “We are nothing without each other” and social initiatives to support fellow human beings, growth ambitions are not left there and there are plans to expand the business and grow where they stand. The ability to see temporary cuts in the business as “the opportunity to be able to control everything a little more” has also proven successful and is evidence of good business acumen.

In the operation, business benefit and resource efficiency go hand in hand – here old goods are given new life, locally produced products are prioritized and the personal development of employees is an important driving force. Under the motto “It should be beautiful inside and beautiful outside”, environmental and sustainability work is driven forward at full speed.

This year's winners contribute to a friendlier business without sacrificing profitability and business. We predict a bright future for their business as the ability to create cohesion, belonging and customer interest are qualities that will be needed at all times!

Lisa Hellmér and My Bergström are stimulating role models who demonstrate professional entrepreneurship and the importance of daring to think new things in order to overcome difficulties - that is why they receive the joint Business Award 2020 from Almi Företagspartner Nord and Region Norrbotten.
