Honorary and merit scholarship
Region Norrbotten awards the Honorary and Merit Scholarship to a person who has made many years of valuable contributions to cultural life in Norrbotten. Applications for the Honorary and Merit Scholarship are open between May 15 and September 1 each year.
The scholarship is applied for personally or proposed/nominated by another applicant. The scholarship amount is 50 SEK.
Applications are assessed by a jury from the county's cultural life, appointed on the basis of a proposal from Region Norrbotten. Decisions on scholarships are made by the chairman of the Regional Board in consultation with the jury.
The scholarships will be awarded in conjunction with the awarding of the Norrbotten Region's Rubus Arcticus cultural scholarship and the sports and sports leadership scholarship.
The scholarship does not require any compensation.
