Good to know

You can apply for a service grant in the event of temporary profitability and liquidity problems. The aim is to prevent or delay the closure of stores that are important for consumers' supply of goods.

You who have a grocery store or gas station in a sparsely populated or rural area.

As a general rule, the service grant can amount to a maximum of SEK 250 per year to the same recipient and may be provided for a maximum of three years.

If the recipient has a well-developed range of basic service functions, or which are deemed to be particularly important for service strategy reasons, the grant may increase to SEK 300 per year. If there are special reasons, grants may be provided for a period longer than three years.

Support is only provided if there are special reasons and other measures have been tried but have not proven to be sufficient.

In connection with the application, applicants must attach an action plan with measures aimed at improving profitability.

If you apply for and are granted service grants and special operating support in the same year, the total amount for both supports can be a maximum of SEK 300.

The service allowance is a negligible support. The applicant must have control over whether support applied for through Region Norrbotten and other authorities/organizations, as well as reductions in employer contributions that are considered negligible support, together do not exceed SEK 1,8 million over a three-year period. A certificate of negligible support must be attached to the application for support.

You can apply for a service grant once a year.

You apply digitally via the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Development's e-service. My application
