Regional Gender Equality Day

Day of Equality Collaboration

Skills supply, workforce and sustainable growth are issues high on the agenda in Norrbotten. At the same time, we know that working life is still not accessible to everyone. What do we miss out on when people choose professions, workplaces or locations?

Behind the numbers, forecasts and growth are questions about norms, power and conditions. Who gets a place, stays and is considered important in the county? Who is given the chance to contribute and under what conditions does societal transformation take place?

We highlight both challenges and ways forward. You will meet actors who in different ways challenge norms and show what actually makes a difference. We ask the questions that rub off and highlight good examples that inspire and can be spread to more people.

During the day, the Norrbotten Gender Equality Award will be awarded.

Programme

This year's Regional Gender Equality Day is moderated by Charlotte Lindmark. More parts of the program will be updated as they become available and you can find them here. here.

Practical information:

  • The days are free of charge but registration is required.

  • Lunch and coffee are included.

  • Limited number of seats.

  • Any travel to Luleå and overnight accommodation will be paid for by the participant.

Audience

All of you who are interested in social development in various ways. Regardless of whether you come from government, civil society, business, municipality or region, this is something for you. Gender equality concerns us all. Feel free to bring someone with you who does not share your everyday life or perspective.

Organizer

Since 2014, the Norrbotten Region, Luleå University of Technology, the Norrbotten County Administrative Board and the Norrbotten Municipalities have been organizing the Regional Gender Equality Day. During the day, successful gender equality work is recognized and the Norrbotten Gender Equality Award is awarded to the actor who is currently doing something special to put gender equality issues at the top of the agenda. The day is organized in collaboration with the Gender Equality Delegation in Norrbotten.
