Opening of the Craft and Design Center in Luleå
Welcome to the opening of the Crafts and Design Center at Shopping Galleria in Luleå on Friday, March 22! The center will work to strengthen and make the crafts and design area in Norrbotten visible. Crafts and Design Center is a three-year project that runs from 2023-2025 and the goal is to establish a long-term and inclusive meeting place that is aimed at a broad target group. Crafts and Design Center collaborates with actors in crafts, arts and crafts, design, design, architecture, sustainable construction and designed living environments.

- Evelina Rydeker, Chairwoman of the Culture and Leisure Committee, Luleå Municipality
- Helena Ölund, Chair of the Regional Development Committee, Norrbotten Region
The exhibition area displays:
- Bäver the traveled material, produced by Bror Forslund and Kerstin Sylwan
- Something in between, tactile works created by craftswoman Laura Blake
- MANNAME, innovative and traditional doudji created by the craft collective GEA!
The open space displays the exhibition Erskine in the North, produced by Norrbotten Museum.
The project owner is the cultural unit, Region Norrbotten. The project is financed by Region Norrbotten and Luleå Municipality.
