This summer, July 9-24, the internationally acclaimed architecture festival Arknat will come to Norrbotten. The festival, which has received great attention both nationally and internationally since its inception in 2017, unites architecture, nature and social development by allowing students from architecture and engineering programs to create unique buildings in natural landscapes. The Norrbotten Region is hosting the festival, which this time takes place along the regional hiking trail Solanderleden between Piteå and Luleå.

On July 23, we invite you to the public opening of Arknat 2026 Norrbotten! During the day, we visit the festival's three locations and take part in the finished works in their landscape context. We visit Långberget, Högberget and Flyggtjärn, where the participants present their thoughts behind the work and how the structures have grown based on the conditions of the location.

Transportation between the locations is your own responsibility and you can choose to participate in the entire program or parts of it. As parking next to the rest areas is limited, we encourage larger groups to carpool. No registration is required to participate on opening day.
