On September 22–23, an inspiration trip will be held to Luleå and Piteå, where we will visit the municipal housing companies Lulebo and PiteBo.

Over two full days, we will take part in concrete and inspiring examples of how sustainable housing supply and development can be put into practice. Sustainability issues in focus are resource efficiency, circular working methods, life cycle perspectives and how safety and attractiveness can be developed and managed in existing residential areas.

Day 1 – Luleå and Lulebo
The first day focuses on Lulebo's work with sustainable development of existing residential areas. The day includes presentations, dialogue and an inspirational lecture on renovation strategies from a life cycle perspective with Luleå University of Technology. During the afternoon, a number of site visits will be made, including to Edeforsgatan where Lulebo is carrying out an extensive ROT project to extend the lifespan of the properties by at least 50 years and at the same time create more housing.

Day 2 – Piteå and PiteBo
The second day is dedicated to PiteBo's work with the development and renewal of existing residential environments in Piteå. The day combines presentations and dialogue with site visits to Stadstornet, the million program Centrumormårde and Linnéparken in Öjebyn, where the focus is on long-term planning, social sustainability and resilience. The inspiration journey ends back in Luleå with a joint summary and reflection on lessons learned and how these can be taken forward in the continued work within the county.
