The sports movement – an important factor for Norrbotten's future and attractiveness
Welcome to a live conversation with local, regional and national decision-makers, where we touch on two important issues for the development of Norrbotten and the sports movement – the restart after the pandemic and access to facilities and sports environments. With the right conditions, the sports movement can contribute to an attractive Norrbotten where people want to live and work.
Public health and the impact of the corona pandemic. During the pandemic, the activities of sports clubs in Norrbotten have decreased sharply, almost the most in the entire country. Sedentary behavior in society has generally increased. What efforts and measures are needed to minimize the effects of the pandemic on the physical and mental health of children and young people? How do we ensure that more people find their way back to the activities and community of the sports movement? What support do the sports clubs need now - and what can the outside world help with? We will take part in the fresh report "The Sports Movement - Two Years with Corona".
More and better facilities and sports environments. How can society plan long-term and sustainably to enable an active life? What facilities are needed now and in the future? What significance does access to facilities and sports areas have for a place's attractiveness and the opportunity to offer sports for everyone, throughout life? What are the challenges we face in view of the industrial establishment and societal transformations that Norrbotten is facing?
