From policy to practice – an introductory course to the policy area of designed living environment

The policy for designed living environments is a guiding principle for the state and a guide for municipalities and regions. The policy area shall contribute to a sustainable, equal and less segregated society where everyone will have the opportunity to influence our common environment. The goals for the policy area complement other national and international goals that affect the designed living environment, such as Agenda 2030 and Sweden's environmental goals.

What is a designed living environment?

Designed living environment is about how we design our living environments, that is, the places where we live, work and live our lives, so that the people who live and work there enjoy and feel good. By consciously working with all the perspectives of architecture, form, design, art and cultural environment in community planning, we create better conditions for a good and sustainable environment with people at the center.
