Author talk about libraries in readiness

In April 2023, the competence website bibliotekiberdespadak.se was opened for library staff in Norrbotten and Västerbotten. Now the regions are welcoming you to an author talk about libraries in a state of emergency.

The new competence website contains educational material on preparedness and total defense. The website is built around fiction, based on specially written short stories by authors Therese Henriksson and Mats Söderlund, both of whom have set the plot in the counties.

Fiction is an entry point for capturing interest in an issue that is difficult in many respects, the role of libraries in total defense and general crisis preparedness in society.

Now the library staff is celebrating the launch of the competence web by offering everyone interested the opportunity to participate in a digital conversation with Norrbotten author Therese Henriksson.

The conversation is about how Therese experienced the assignment to write about libraries in emergency mode and what role she thinks libraries can play for citizens when the next crisis comes.

The author talk will take place on December 12th at 13.00:XNUMX PM via Zoom.
