The book's value and importance in the field

A warm welcome to an open webinar where author and military historian Lars Gyllenhaal talks about the importance of books in the field, about libraries as part of total defense, and about books that are especially in demand in crises. But also about leisure time during the emergency period, and about field libraries - during World War II, the Swedes were on guard duty at the border, and they were bored. Instead of playing cards, they had to read.

Lars often focuses on the Barents region and has extensive experience as a writer, including from Russia (some special words about Gogol have been promised!) and also touches on the current security situation in the Arctic and what consequences it may have in northern Sweden. At the end there is time for questions.
