Children's rights strategy training

Welcome to a four-day training in the Convention on the Rights of the Child and practical implementation of children's rights.

The County Administrative Board, Norrbotten's municipalities and Region Norrbotten, together with the Swedish Association of Municipalities and Regions (SKR), offer training that provides comprehensive knowledge about the Convention on the Rights of the Child and what it means to implement and apply the Convention in one's own operations.

Programme

  • Part 1: The Convention on the Rights of the Child
    22 September 2026 – digital at 09.00-16.00

  • Part 2: Children's rights perspective
    22 October 2026 – digital at 09.00-16.00

  • Part 3: Testing the best interests of the child/Child impact assessment
    26 November 2026 – digital at 09.00-16.00

  • Part 4: Closing, reporting and continued children's rights work
    February 9, 2027 – physical meeting in Luleå with conclusion of the course and joint lunch. 9:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. (prel.)

For whom?

Officials, professionals or decision-makers in public sector activities in Norrbotten who work with issues that directly or indirectly affect children. You can work directly with children or, for example, have a leading, strategic or developmental role at an overall level or within a specific activity. Participants from civil society organisations are also welcome, subject to space availability.

Organizer

The training is arranged in collaboration between the County Administrative Board of Norrbotten, Norrbotten Municipalities, Norrbotten Region and the Swedish Municipalities and Regions.
