Join us in finding Norrbotten's path forward. Region Norrbotten and Älvsbyn Municipality invite you to a workshop that looks to 2040.

It is time to develop a new regional development strategy. Where are we now, where do we want to go and what do we need to get there? These are questions that need to be answered in the strategy, and we need your help to find the answers.

Norrbotten's regional development strategy (RUS) is intended to point out the direction for the county's development and highlight important areas to focus on. It is being developed by Region Norrbotten together with many others, on behalf of the government and for the benefit of the people of Norrbotten.

Although Region Norrbotten is responsible for its development, the strategy belongs to everyone who lives, resides or works in the county. It should be both created and implemented by various actors who influence and develop the county every day. The strategy determines which initiatives we invest time, energy and money on, for example which projects can be implemented.

You do not need any special prior knowledge to participate in the workshop. We will go through what you need to know on site. During the day we will discuss various issues in small groups, but in the end we want to know what you think is important to prioritize. The participants submit their answers digitally, each one individually.

The responses we receive will contribute to the new regional development strategy for Norrbotten, which will be completed towards the end of 2025.

Audience

Everyone who contributes in various ways to the development of our county and will be involved in implementing the strategy. This could be politicians and officials at the municipality, associations and communities, employees at government agencies, educational providers or companies.

Registration

Register by May 13, 2024.

The number of participants is limited. In case of high interest, we reserve the right to allocate places to ensure the broadest possible representation.
